How to record a new chemical reaction?
  • Click on the New reaction button.
  • Enter the Name you wish for the new reaction, as well as its description in the Type field.
  • Specify the structure for the reagent and product, either by looking for the compound in the compounds library by typing its code or name.

Or by drawing the molecular structure directly

  • If you wish, specify as well a code and name for both the reagent and the product. Note that if you have selected a compound from the compounds library, the code will placed be automatically.
  • Click on Save.
How to edit the features of a chemical reaction?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish to edit and click on the Reaction details link above the reaction arrow.

Alternatively, you can also select the reaction, which will be highlighted in orange, and then click on the Edit reaction button in the Home tab.

  • In the screen that will appear, navigate through the different tabs and add, delete or edit the information as you consider.
  • Finally, click on Save.
How to edit the reaction conditions?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish to edit and select it.
  • Click on the Reaction conditions button of the Reactions tab.
  • To add a new reaction step, click on Add new step.
  • To add a new reactant or condition, push the Add button on the right side and indicate which sort of element you wish to specify.
  • For each reactant, it is highly advisable that you indicate its name in the Description field, as well as its amount. To do so, click on the header of the reactant, and type the description and amount as you consider.
  • To remove any element, select it and then click on Delete.
  • Finally, click on Save.
How to calculate the stoichiometric amounts automatically?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish and click on the Reaction details link above the reaction arrow.

Alternatively, you can also select the reaction, which will be highlighted in orange, and then click on the Edit reaction button in the Home tab.

  • Go to the Reaction conditions tab and click on Edit reaction conditions.
  • Select the reagent for which you wish to calculate the amount and look at the auxiliary menu below.
  • Enter the number of equivalents to be used for that reagent.
  • Click on the side button to calculate the amount automatically.
  • Indicate whether you wish to calculate a mass (Calculate mass) or a volume (Calculate volume) value, and introduce the required information.
  • The value for the molecular weight will already appear by default, but you can enter a different value or re-calculate it if you wish.
  • Finally, click on Accept. The calculated amount will be recorded in the Amount field.
How to write the experimental procedure automatically?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish and click on the Reaction details link above the reaction arrow.

Alternatively, you can also select the reaction, which will be highlighted in orange, and then click on the Edit reaction button in the Home tab.

  • Go to the Procedure tab and click on Auto writing. Note that the resulting text will include all the information of the reaction specified in the different tabs.
  • Finally, click on Save to exit the screen.
How to calculate the number of moles involved and yield of a chemical reaction automatically?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish and click on the Reaction details link above the reaction arrow.

Alternatively, you can also select the reaction, which will be highlighted in orange, and then click on the Edit reaction button in the Home tab.

  • To calculate the number of moles involved, go to the Reagent or Product tab and click on the buttons next to the Number of moles field.
  • On the other hand, to calculate the yield, go to the Result tab and push the button next to the Yield field.
  • Finally, click on Save to exit the screen.
How to get a recommendation on which volume should have the reaction recipient?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish and click on the Reaction details link above the reaction arrow.

Alternatively, you can also select the reaction, which will be highlighted in orange, and then click on the Edit reaction button in the Home tab.

  • Go to the Reaction conditions tab and enter the volume that you wish to use in the Volume field (specify the units as well). Note that the volume can also be calculated automatically by clicking on the side button.
  • To obtain the recommended recipient volume, click on the button on the right of the Recipient volume field.
  • Finally, click on Save to exit the screen.
How to spot a suitable solvent for a specific reaction?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish and select it.
  • Click on the Reaction conditions button of the Reactions tab.
  • Click on the Add button and then on Solvent.
  • If you already know which solvent you need to use, type it directly in this box. Contrary, push the Advanced button.
  • In the screen that will appear, check the Recommended solvent box or inspect the table below with the most relative solvents. Note that you can adjust whether you wish to preferably dissolve the reagent, the product or both by selecting the corresponding option on top.
  • Finally, click on Accept.
How to rate chemical reactions?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish to rate and click on the Reaction details link above the reaction arrow.

Alternatively, you can also select the reaction, which will be highlighted in orange, and then click on the Edit reaction button in the Home tab.

  • Select the number of stars that you wish to assign to the reaction on the left-side rating.
  • Finally, click on Save to exit the screen.
How to search for a chemical reaction?
  • Go to the Reactions tab and click on Search reaction.

Alternatively, you can also click on the shortcut above the list of reactions.

  • Select the Search parameter that you wish to employ and start typing. The list below will display all the chemical reactions recorded in the current scheme that match the criterion.
  • Once you find the reaction you are looking for, click on it and push on Select. After that, you will be automatically directed to that reaction.
How to easily check the results of a chemical reaction?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish to consult and select it.
  • Click on the Reaction results button of the Reactions tab.
How to rearrange the order of chemical reactions?
  • Go to the Reactions tab and click on Sort reactions.

Alternatively, you can also click on the shortcut above the list of reactions.

  • In the screen that will appear, use the up/down arrows to rearrange the reactions as you consider. You can also exchange the position of two reactions by using the right-side controls.
  • Once you have the definitive order, click on Save. After that, the scheme will be reloaded and the new order will be displayed.
How to filter the reactions presented in the screen?
  • Go to the Home tab and click on Filter.
  • In the screen that will appear, specify as many filters as you wish and the criteria.
  • Click on Apply.
  • In order to remove the filter applied, click on Remove filter in the Home tab.
How to remove a chemical reaction?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish to remove and select it.
  • Click on the Remove reaction button of the Home or Reactions tabs.

Alternatively, right-click the reaction and select the Delete option in the auxiliary menu.

How to release a report with the details of a chemical reaction?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish and select it.
  • Go to the Reactions tab and click on Reaction report.
  • Confirm the operation by clicking on Generate and specify the path where you want the report to be released.
How to release a fill-in sheet to be completed in the lab for a chemical reaction?
  • Locate the reaction that you wish and select it.
  • Go to the Reactions tab and click on Lab sheet.
  • Confirm the operation by clicking on Generate and specify the path where you want the document to be released.
